This tool serves to generate an XML for DCP subtitling from the generators found inside a Final Cut Pro timeline.
There are two standards : CineCanvas (by Texas Instruments) for the old standard, Interop, and Smpte for the new standard. Tell us about the use you made of it. Download an example of the result.
1. prepare your subs
  • Either export from FCP a timeline with text-generators (Text or Outline Text) : demo video
    download a sample xml.
    Subtitles will be read from text generators from the fcp timeline

  • Either export your subs in SRT format, UTF-8 encoding
2. upload the subtitle file (FCP xml or SRT)
